Conservatory Sliding Door Repairs
Sliding doors let in natural light into a conservatory easily and elegantly. However, just like all doors and windows they may require repairs or replacement.

Rollers

This piece of wood can be taken off by using a reciprocating tool, and removing any old caulking from the bottom of the frame. Once the head stop is removed, you will be able to access the roller adjustment screws to adjust their height. After reinstalling them, place the adjustment screw in each access hole and tap them into place with the hammer while holding a wood block to avoid damage to the wheels.
Glass
Over time, the wheels of sliding glass door rollers may be misaligned. This typically happens due to everyday use and could cause the door to jump the track and become difficult to open or close. Make sure you open and close the sliding glass door gently. Too much force could break the glass. This would require the assistance of a professional.
The good news is that this issue is usually an easy solution. You can adjust your wheels by applying the lubricant. It is also recommended to clean your tracks regularly. This will stop dirt and other debris from becoming a problem and causing friction and damage. This can be done using a stiff brush and rags, or by spraying silicone.
